Lighthouse for Public Safety

Small agencies

For the one person doing it all.

In a small agency, the person who runs training also answers the press, keeps the policy manual current, and checks on the officer who had a rough call last week. It's more than likely you.

We've built Lighthouse so that person isn't doing it alone. The tools larger agencies pay staff and vendors for are here at no cost, or at a price set by the size of your agency.

Operations

Start with bulletins.

IRIS bulletins come at no cost to every agency. Your people get the day's bulletins on their phone instead of digging through email, and you can share with the agencies around you.

When you're ready for more, Ask IRIS answers questions from your own policies, and accreditation tracking keeps the proof current all year. Most small agencies have nobody to do that full time, which is exactly why it helps.

Wellness

Everyone is someone's peer.

Blueprint and the Wellness Hub are yours at no cost. Your officers and their families get a confidential place to start, and whoever is carrying wellness for the agency gets a structure to build on.

In a small agency, everyone ends up being someone's peer. Peer team tools and a PeerPath scholarship help you train the first person and give them a way to do the work without burning out.

We've never said no to an agency because they can't afford it.

Community

When the chief is also the PIO.

TrustedUpdate gives you one official page when something happens, so you're not answering the same question all night. CivicSocial puts your badge on a safety post in a few minutes.

The PIO classes are written for people who never trained for the job, including the ones doing it alone.

Neighbors

Help you couldn't staff alone.

Small agencies lean on the agencies around them. Lighthouse makes that easier. Bulletins can be shared between partner agencies, and a critical incident team can take requests from outside agencies, so a bad call doesn't have to be handled with whoever happens to be on shift.

The tools are the same ones a large agency uses. We build them once and share them, which is how a 12-person agency ends up with what a 3,000-person agency has.

Start with what comes at no cost. Add the rest when it fits.
